Made-to-Measure Guayabera: How It Works, Step by Step
Made to measure is not an upgrade we sell. It is how the atelier prefers to work, and it is included with every piece in the collection — because a linen shirt cut to your numbers is the only version that hangs the way it was designed to.
What we need from you
Five numbers: chest at its widest, waist where you actually wear your trousers, shoulder from seam to seam across the back, sleeve length, and total shirt length from the base of the neck.
Send them through the measurement form on the site rather than by chat. The form walks through each point and produces a single sheet the atelier cuts from, so nothing is lost in a conversation.
How to take them correctly
Use a soft tape, keep it level, and do not pull it tight — measure over a thin shirt, not bare skin or a jacket. If you have a shirt that already fits well, lay it flat and measure the garment instead of the body; it is often more accurate.
If two numbers seem contradictory, send both and note it. We would rather ask than guess.
Timeline
Cutting and hand-finishing take 3 to 5 working days in the atelier. Shipping time is added on top of that, depending on destination.
For weddings and group orders, confirm measurements at least four weeks before the date so there is room for an adjustment.
Why there is no surcharge
A returned shirt costs the atelier more than cutting the right one first. Made to measure reduces returns, so the honest price is the same price — and you get a garment that fits shoulder, chest and length at once.
Standard sizes still exist
If your chest and waist sit within one size of each other, a standard S to 4XL will fit well and ships faster. Made to measure is for the men that standard grading never served.
