White guayaberas

White linen guayaberas

The white guayabera is the piece the whole collection is measured against: a 100% linen body, hand-made pleats running the front, mother-of-pearl buttons, and a straight hem meant to be worn untucked. Cut to order in the atelier, never pulled off a shelf.

Three fronts to choose from — single pleats, double pleats, or the traditional four-pocket Classic — in sizes S to 4XL, with made to measure included when no size is quite right.

White linen questions

Is a white linen guayabera see-through?
Not in this weight. The cloth is chosen heavy enough to stay opaque on its own in daylight, which is the main reason a white guayabera can be worn to a ceremony without an undershirt showing through.
How do I keep a white linen guayabera white?
Wash cold, separately, with a mild detergent and no bleach or fabric softener. Hang or lay flat to dry out of direct sun, and press while still slightly damp. Treat wine or oil the same day — linen releases stains easily when they are fresh, and stubbornly when they are old.
White or off-white for a wedding?
Bright white photographs cleanest and is the traditional choice for the groom. If the bride's dress is ivory, a soft sand or off-white body avoids a jarring contrast in close photographs while still reading as white to the eye.
Should a guayabera be tucked in?
No. The guayabera is designed to be worn untucked, which is why the hem is straight rather than curved and the length falls to around mid-fly. Tucking it in defeats the cut and the pleats.
What is the difference between the white models?
They differ in the front detailing: Single Palma carries one column of pleats per side, Double Palma two, and Classic Palma the traditional four-pocket arrangement. The cloth and the fit are the same across all of them.
